I think a clearer way of interpreting Picasso (the difference between copying and stealing) is that great artists who “steal” ideas MAKE THEM THEIR OWN.
(and that goes for any kind of idea stealing ;-)
And yes…how DO you scale service, GET SATISFACTION???
speaking as a marketer, i couldn’t agree more with this premise.
when i was consulting, i’d get clients who had a half-baked product, and then wanted to put lipstick on that pig. slow going, and expensive.
i so much prefer products that speak for themselves. then, marketing really is customer service… connecting and binding customers to your value proposition.
It’s all about preying on the ignorant. Geek squad charges over $100.00 to swap out RAM… Parts NOT included! Most of Geek Squads customers are clueless as to the standard rates in their area, and sadly spend 200% more for service simply because they don’t know the average pricing.
