The Barack Obama campaign just released an iPhone application. How cool is that?
Whether you are a Republican, Democrat, Don’t-Tread-On-Me Libertarian, or someone who gave up on politics a long time ago, this kind of effort seems to me to be the future of not just political organizing, but of all kinds of group and community building. The mind reels at the possibilities around this kind of idea, especially considering that the iPhone has such rich video and audio capabilities.
Apparently, it puts all of Barack’s key positions at-hand, sets up a phone bank for you, and has a GPS feature that points you to the nearest campaign headquarters. I’m sure it does more, but before I download it and try it out, I’ve added it as a product on Get Satisfaction.
So, give it a whirl, and feel free to share your thoughts about it right here.
