You know what would be really cool? A Get Satisfaction application for the Mac. A while back, this guy had the same idea:
Lane saw that tweet on Twitter. Using our Overheard feature, which helps companies reach out to people who are saying things about them on Twitter, Lane turned that tweet into an idea in Get Satisfaction. People weighed in and offered their thoughts, and eventually, someone else saw it: a Cocoa developer. Now, he’s building an app for Get Satisfaction. His name is Erwan, and he’s located in France, where he runs his own software shop, Lightive. Also in his plans: an iPhone app.
This is exactly the kind of community participation we wanted to foster when we released our API. Lots of companies are already using our API to create custom installations of Get Satisfaction elements on their site, but this appears to be the next step: community development efforts around applications and for multiple platforms.
If you’re reading this, you’re part of the community. So feel free to weigh in with advice. If you’re familiar with Cocoa, you’ll probably know right away what’s possible with this kind of app. If you’re not a developer type, even better. That kind of feedback is very valuable, so share what you’d want to see in a Mac application of Get Satisfaction.
What’s this thing going to be called? That’s a great question, and one that I can’t get out of my head. I’m all ready to offer suggestions, from serious to silly. iHelp? iSatisfy? He’s calling it iGetSat, which sounds pretty good, too. Merci, Erwan. This is pretty exciting stuff.
What’s your suggestion for Erwan?

You should definitely make an app, but it should be an Adobe AIR one. I love my Mac at home, but I need to work on a Windows box at work where most of my GS interaction happens.

I think a desktop application would be great. You can already do it using Fluid (http://fluidapp.com), but I think GS app would be great!
